Color and Characteristics:
Light, pale pink to yellowish sapwood which strongly differs from the pale reddish brown to dark crimson-brown heartwood. In contrast to the plain "straight grain", the texture of figured Makore is "flamed" or "figured" due to an irregular, short-waved fiber pattern.
 

Application:
Sliced veneer for the furniture industry (bedroom furniture), but also for doors.
